Breaking News: Rams Acquire 1st Overall Pick from Titans

Big news out of the NFL this morning the Los Angeles Rams have given up a kings ransom to move up to the 1st overall pick. Here are the details of the trade:

Rams Get:

  • 1st Overall Pick (Round 1)
  • 113th Overall Pick (Round 4)
  • 177th Overall Pick (6th Round)
Titans Get:
  • 15th Overall Pick (Round 1)
  • 43rd Overall Pick (Round 2)
  • 45th Overall Pick (Round 2)
  • 76th Overall Pick (Round 3)
  • 2017 1st Round Pick
  • 2017 3rd Round Pick
It's funny how life comes full circle when the Rams were on the receiving side of a kings ransom in 2012 when Washington moved up to the 2nd Overall pick to select RG3.

Most people as of now believe the Rams want Carson Wentz out of North Dakota State University, but I believe it will be Jared Goff from Cal. Goff is the more polished day one prospect, and for marketing purposes he's the California Kid. This move is more football related than marketing, but it wouldn't hurt in their re-branding efforts.

In our honest opinion the Rams got hosed in this trade. Two firsts and one second round pick would be understandable, but the first two days of the 2016 Draft and the first two days of the 2017 Draft (essentially)? The Washington trade in 2012 might have been a better deal...
