NFL DRAFT: FIRST THREE ROUNDS
| |
RD 1
TEAM
1
Rams (From TEN) - Jared Goff, QB, Cal- The Rams finally get a franchise quarterback. He isnt my top QB prospect in the draft, but he is definitely the most Pro ready.
2
Eagles (From CLE) - Carson Wentz, QB, North Dakota State- I love Wentz. LOVE HIM. He’s tough, Philly type tough. Go away, Bradford. No one even likes you.
3
Chargers - Ronnie Stanley, OT, Notre Dame - The Charges need help on OL/DL so them going Buckner wouldnt shock me, but they need to solidify their line, with a last minute Tunsil Lawsuit and some weird gut feeling, I have the, taking Stanley.
4
Cowboys - Jalen Ramsey, CB/S, Florida State - The Boys loved Byron Jones, and I see Ramsey as a more technically sound Byron Jones. He is truly a star in the making the Cowboys havent had in their secondary since the hard hitting years of Roy Williams.
5
Jaguars - DeForest Buckner, DE, Oregon - The Jags will be getting Fowler back and being able to send him off the edge around an enormous, commanding force like Buckner will provide some serious pressure.
6
Ravens - Laremy Tunsil, OT, Ole Miss - The Ravens always get lucky with talent and this is no different. Tunsil is an all-pro projected prospect and I could say so much more about his talent. Absolute franchise guy.
7
49ers - Shaq Lawson, DE, Clemson - The Niners DE’s/OLB’s were some of the worst performing in the league. For a team that used to have a ferocious defense, they fell off bad. Chip thinks his offense can work with anyone, so he needs to build his defense and Lawson is a great option to build off of.
8
Browns(From PHI) (From MIA) - Joey Bosa, DE/Rush, Ohio State - Too high for Paxton Lynch, and the Browns have about a million holes to fill, but in a division with Bengals and Steelers offenses, the Browns need some D, so they keep the kid in O-H-I-O.
9
Buccaneers - Emmanuel Ogbah, DE, Oklahoma State - Winston, Martin, Evans. The Bucs have their offensive trio, time to build on D and Ogbah fits what the Bucs want to do.
10
Giants - Jack Conklin, OT, Michigan State - Back to back tackle years for the Giants leaving their fans snoozing, but make no mistake, that offensive line could be impenetrable with these bookend tackles
11
Bears - Leonard Floyd, OLB, Georgia - I hate floyd, I wouldn't draft him with a fourth round pick. As a matter of fact, I believe in my soul Jordan jenkins goes before him, but this move just seemed like the correct thing to do. Boring team, boring pick, mediocrity out of Chicago like always.
12
Saints - Myles Jack, LB, UCLA - I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT’S GOING ON WITH JACK BUT A KNEE INJURY REALLY MATTERS SO HE FALLS AND THE SAINTS GET LUCKY.
13
Dolphins (from PHI) - Ezekiel Elliot, RB, Ohio State - Elliott is the best RB prospect since AP, I don't care what you say, I’m right. Ajayi showed plenty of promise but you can't assume a guy like him can carry the load with what little we have seen. They drafted their star WR last year and can now put a great piece in the backfield.
14
Raiders - Robert Nkemdiche, DT, Ole Miss - It’s impossible to tell what Nkemdiche’s stock is at this point but after reading how genuinely strange seeming he is, Oakland seems like the right place, plus they have a huge need for a guy like him who can move all over the DL.
15
Titans (From LA) - Taylor Decker, OT, Ohio State- This is a similar situation with the Giants. The Titans seem to have gotten their guy in Mariota, so their best bet is to keep him upright and pair Lewan with Decker.
16
Lions - Vernon Butler, DT, LA Tech- I just really like this pick here. The Lions D-line is weak and I think it’s the perfect spot for Butler
17
Falcons - Reggie Ragland, ILB, Alabama - The Falcons are in desperate need of a man right in the middle and Ragland be a dominant force there for a decade
18
Colts - T.J. Green, S, Clemson - Need a press man corner? Need a safety? K. This guy can do it. He’s a poor mans Jalen Ramsey, like a REALLY POOR man’s Jalen Ramsey, but hes damn good.
19
Bills - Su’a Cravens, OLB, USC - In two years the Bills went from being a defensive terror to a doormat. Cravens can fly around the field and be the versatile edge rusher Rex has always wanted.
20
Jets - Paxton Lynch, QB, Memphis - I love Lynch and I am a Jets fan and I hate Fitz, Petty is an ongoing project that will inevitably be a career backup that gets a chance somewhere in 6 years like Drew Stanton, and I dont have faith Geno Smith has been able to progress into franchise qb potential with the garbage weapons hes had throughout his career. Plus, the Jets have taken 2 first round QB’s in the last 31 years. They’re long overdue. Park Ave Paxton- You heard it here first.
21
Redskins - Noah Spence, DE/OLB, Eastern Kentucky - The Washington Dumpsterfires need help all over defense. After a blockbuster signing after a Gettleman gaff, the Dumpsterfires can focus on an edge rusher that recently let all of the teams know he has very clean urine.
22
Texans - Corey Coleman, WR, Baylor - Is he the next Atonio Brown or Mike Wallace? I’m not sure but skill like colemans can’t be denied. He’s lightning in a bottle and I see him blossoming into what Tayvon Austin was supposed to be.
23
Vikings - Cody Whitehair, G, Kansas State - WR is a need, sure, but not only do the Vikes need 1 guard, they need two, and Teddy isnt making his throws to anyone if he has no blocking. Whitehair can be the next Zach Martin.
24
Bengals - Laquon Treadwell, WR, Ole Miss - Treadwell tested poorly and doesnt seem to have that big play ability, but the Bengals dont need that. They need someone like Anquan Boldin, and Treadwell is that.
25
Steelers - William Jackson III, CB, Houston - The Steelers have been investing into their LB’s like crazy and now its time to really build that secondary.
26
Seahawks - Kevin Dodd, DE, Clemson - The Seahawks need OL but I think they like taking later round guys, plus there are plenty of great tackles in later rounds.
27
Packers - Vernon Hargreaves III, CB, Florida - Im not sure how he fell here and if hes available in the 20’s dont be surprised when a team trades up to get him. The packers could use a true shutdown corner.
28
Chiefs - Josh Doctson, WR, TCU - Maclin is good, but the Chiefs need more. Doctson is the best offensive playmaker in this draft. He’s an athletic freak and resembles AJ Green to a T.
29
Cardinals - Sheldon Rankins, DT, Louisville - Im not sure the Cardinals really need anythig. The rish get richer- you can never have too many great d-lineman.
30
Panthers - Kevin Byard, S, Mid Tennessee - After losing Norman the Panthers could really use a corner but I dont like any of the one’s left for them here. Every year we learn more and more how important safeties are in this league and the Panthers have been licking their chops over this guy.
31
Broncos - Darron Lee, OLB, Ohio State - Between losing Marshall and Trevathan, the Broncos LB’s took a pretty bad hit and Lee can play middle or outside. They could go QB but I have a feeling they’re pretty locked into Bradford or Kapernick.
